Sifu McGuire started his Martial Arts training with Judo at the age of 6.  He then went on to study Tae Kwon Do and attained a 3rd degree Black Belt at the age of 16.

In the Air Force, Sifu McGuire was a member of the first Tactical Neutralization Team. During his service, he added to his knowledge of Martial Arts, studying KaJuKemBo, Hwa Rang Do, Kul Sool Wan and Kali.

Sifu McGuire traveled to China, Hawaii, Japan, Korea and the Phillipines while he was in the Air Force,  studying and exchanging knowledge. In 1981, he returned home looking for a complete system of Martial Arts that fit his movement.  This led him to the Wah Lum Tam Tui Northern Praying Mantis system. Where he studies to this day, under Si Baak Bob Rosen and Grandmaster Chan Pui.

In February 2002, Sifu McGuire traveled to Hawaii with the US Martial Arts Team and won 4 Gold Medals. He has also been inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in Ohio.

Sifu McGuire holds a degree in Chinese Medicine, Nutrition and Holistic Medicine.     He believes that if  you are going to learn to hurt someone, you must know how to health them.

His philosophy is that you must keep learning, realizing that the more you learn, the more there is to know. Through your knowledge and Martial Arts training you can make a difference in your life and others. To truly be the person you dreamed of being.
